Connecting Community Champions

The 2026 Rocket Classic “Connecting Community Champions” program is a fundraising initiative that allows individuals and organizations to donate directly to a range of local Detroit charities. Since 2019, the Rocket Classic has raised over $10 million, with a major focus on digital inclusion through its “Changing the Course” initiative. Donations go 100% to the selected charities, supporting causes like technology access, youth development, and community programs. The charitable organizations also receive an incentive, with every $313 contribution earning four one-day event tickets to the Rocket Classic. Additionally, registered 501(c)(3) organizations can participate to raise funds, gain visibility, and compete for recognition as top fundraisers during the tournament.
