DETROIT (May 19, 2026) – Raising funds to support your nonprofit organization has never been easier. The Rocket Classic Presented by AlumniFi has launched a new fundraising initiative that allows individuals and organizations to donate directly to a range of local Detroit charities.

The 2026 Rocket Classic “Connecting Community Champions” program powered by Comcast Business directs 100 percent of all donations to selected charities, supporting causes like technology access, youth development, and community programs.

The charitable organizations also receive an incentive, with each $313 contribution earning four one-day event tickets to the Rocket Classic. Registered 501(c)(3) organizations can participate to raise funds, gain visibility and compete for recognition as top fundraisers during the tournament.

The three registered organizations that raise the highest total funds will be recognized and introduced during the championship round of the Rocket Classic at Detroit Golf Club on Sunday, August 2.

Detroit’s PGA TOUR tournament will be held at the newly restored Detroit Golf Club for the eighth consecutive year from July 30-August 2.

Nonprofits that have already registered to participate in the Connecting Community Champions program include Black Tech Saturdays, Human-I-T, Detroit Golf Club Caddie Scholarship Foundation, College Career & Beyond | Midnight Golf Program, First Tee of Greater Detroit, Detroit PAL, People for Palmer Park and Children’s Center of Wayne County, Hired in Michigan, Hot Pink Helpers, and Malta Dental and Medical Clinic.

Since 2019, the Rocket Classic has invested more than $10 million into local charitable organizations, including contributions to the event’s landmark “Changing the Course” initiative, which has played a vital role in bridging the digital divide in Detroit.
